Alector Brain Carrier
The Alector Brain Carrier platform is designed to transport therapeutic payloads across the blood-brain barrier. It is being applied to antibodies, enzyme-replacement therapies and siRNA molecules.
AL037 and AL137
AL037 and AL137 are brain-carrier-enabled antibodies targeting a toxic pyroglutamate amyloid-beta epitope in Alzheimer's disease. The candidates share the same antibody but use carrier domains with different binding properties.
AL050
AL050 is an ABC-enabled GCase enzyme-replacement therapy intended to restore lysosomal function in Parkinson's disease while improving delivery into the brain.
Tau siRNA Programs
AL064 and its optimized successor AL164 use the brain carrier to deliver tau-directed siRNA for Alzheimer's disease and other tauopathies. Additional siRNA research targets alpha-synuclein and NLRP3.
