公司概览
Pure-Play Innovative Medicines Company
Novartis is a global innovative medicines company focused on four core therapeutic areas: cardiovascular, renal and metabolic disease; immunology; neuroscience; and oncology. Its research model combines established capabilities in chemistry and biologics with advanced platforms including gene therapy, cell therapy, radioligand therapy, and xRNA medicines.
Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic Portfolio
The CRM business includes Leqvio for cholesterol lowering, Entresto for heart failure, Fabhalta for complement-mediated diseases, and Vanrafia for IgA nephropathy. Development programs seek to extend these franchises into additional renal and cardiovascular populations through RNA-based medicines, complement inhibition, and precision small molecules.
Immunology and Neuroscience
Novartis markets Cosentyx across multiple inflammatory diseases, Kesimpta in multiple sclerosis, Ilaris in autoinflammatory conditions, and Rhapsido in chronic spontaneous urticaria. The late-stage pipeline includes ianalumab in Sjogren's disease and additional indications for remibrutinib, while the neuroscience portfolio includes established multiple-sclerosis products and gene therapies for spinal muscular atrophy.
Oncology and Hematology
The oncology portfolio includes Kisqali in breast cancer, Scemblix in chronic myeloid leukemia, Pluvicto and Lutathera in radioligand therapy, and targeted therapies such as Tafinlar plus Mekinist. Novartis is expanding the franchise through next-generation radioligands, antibody-drug conjugates, targeted small molecules, and precision hematology programs.
Gene Therapy and Neuromuscular Disease
The Zolgensma group and Itvisma establish Novartis as a commercial gene-therapy company in spinal muscular atrophy. Its neuromuscular pipeline includes exon-skipping therapies del-zota in Duchenne muscular dystrophy and del-brax in facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, extending the company's nucleic-acid and gene-regulation capabilities into additional inherited muscle diseases.
Advanced Therapeutic Platforms
Novartis uses radioligand therapy to deliver targeted radiation to tumor cells and is developing actinium-based programs to complement its lutetium portfolio. The company is also expanding in antibody-drug conjugates through the planned acquisition of Myricx Bio and in xRNA and gene regulation through internal research and targeted business development.
