公司概览

Diversified Human and Animal Health Company

Merck, known as MSD outside the United States and Canada, is a global biopharmaceutical company with businesses in prescription medicines, vaccines, and animal health. Its human-health research spans oncology, infectious disease, vaccines, cardiometabolic and respiratory disease, immunology, neuroscience, and ophthalmology.

Oncology and the KEYTRUDA Franchise

Oncology is anchored by KEYTRUDA and subcutaneous KEYTRUDA QLEX, which are used across a broad range of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Merck is extending the franchise through earlier-stage treatment, perioperative regimens, and combinations with antibody-drug conjugates and targeted therapies. Its broader oncology pipeline includes sacituzumab tirumotecan, the personalized cancer vaccine intismeran autogene, KRAS inhibitor calderasib, and BCR::ABL1 inhibitor MK-4208.

Vaccines and Infectious Diseases

Merck has a large vaccine franchise spanning human papillomavirus, pneumococcal disease, respiratory syncytial virus, and other infectious diseases. The HIV portfolio combines approved daily treatment with investigational weekly and monthly approaches, including once-weekly islatravir and lenacapavir and once-monthly oral PrEP candidate alimatravir.

Cardiometabolic and Respiratory Medicines

The cardiometabolic portfolio includes WINREVAIR for pulmonary arterial hypertension and LIPFENDRA, an oral PCSK9 inhibitor for hypercholesterolemia. The acquisition of Verona Pharma added OHTUVAYRE for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, expanding Merck's presence in respiratory medicine alongside a pipeline of cardiovascular and metabolic programs.

Immunology Pipeline

Merck is developing tulisokibart, an anti-TL1A antibody, across ulcerative colitis and other immune-mediated diseases. The program is part of a broader effort to build an immunology franchise through internally developed biologics and externally sourced assets that target inflammatory pathways with potential applications across gastrointestinal, dermatologic, and systemic autoimmune disorders.

Animal Health Business

Merck Animal Health markets medicines, vaccines, identification technologies, and health-management products for livestock and companion animals. The business provides an additional source of diversification and has expanded through acquisitions such as TARGAN, which added automated poultry vaccination and biodevice capabilities.

未来催化剂

  • Planned global regulatory submissions for the once-weekly oral islatravir/lenacapavir HIV treatment regimen following positive Phase 3 ISLEND-1 and ISLEND-2 results.
  • Presentation of full Phase 2 results for tulisokibart in hidradenitis suppurativa at an upcoming medical meeting.
