NHE3 Inhibition Platform
Ardelyx develops and commercializes medicines based on inhibition of the sodium-hydrogen exchanger 3 in the gastrointestinal tract. Its approach changes intestinal sodium transport and can affect bowel function and phosphate absorption.
IBSRELA and XPHOZAH
IBSRELA is approved for irritable bowel syndrome with constipation, while XPHOZAH is approved to lower serum phosphorus in adults with chronic kidney disease on dialysis who have an inadequate response or intolerance to phosphate binders. Both products contain tenapanor.
Pipeline Expansion
The Phase 3 ACCEL trial is evaluating IBSRELA in adults with chronic idiopathic constipation. RDX10531 is a next-generation NHE3 inhibitor being explored across additional therapeutic applications.
