RYTELO in Lower-Risk MDS
RYTELO, or imetelstat, is a first-in-class oligonucleotide telomerase inhibitor approved in the United States and European Union for defined adults with transfusion-dependent anemia caused by lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes. The therapy is administered by intravenous infusion every four weeks.
Differentiated Clinical Profile
RYTELO is intended for patients who have not responded to, have lost response to or are ineligible for erythropoiesis-stimulating therapy. Evidence from the Phase 3 IMerge study supports its ability to produce periods of red-blood-cell transfusion independence, making reduction of transfusion burden central to its clinical value proposition.
Commercialization Footprint
Geron directly commercializes RYTELO in the United States and is assessing how best to commercialize the product in Europe while preserving the economics and pricing integrity of the broader franchise.
