Liver Imaging Technology Company
ENDRA Life Sciences develops thermoacoustic imaging technology for measuring liver fat. Its TAEUS platform is intended to provide a lower-cost, point-of-care alternative to MRI-based quantification.
TAEUS Liver System
TAEUS uses short radiofrequency pulses to stimulate tissue and ultrasound sensors to detect the resulting acoustic response. The system estimates liver fat fraction without ionizing radiation or contrast agents.
MASLD and MASH Monitoring
Quantitative liver-fat measurement can support detection and longitudinal monitoring of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease. ENDRA aims to place this capability in clinics that already use conventional ultrasound.
Clinical Validation Program
The company has conducted feasibility and repeatability studies comparing TAEUS measurements with MRI proton-density fat fraction. Results are being used to refine the device and design a pivotal U.S. clinical study.
De Novo Regulatory Pathway
ENDRA has engaged with the FDA on device configuration, study design, and a De Novo submission pathway. Clearance would be required before broad commercialization in the United States.
