Zetomipzomib Mechanism
Zetomipzomib is a selective inhibitor of the immunoproteasome, a protein-degradation complex enriched in immune cells. By modulating immunoproteasome activity, the candidate is intended to reduce inflammatory signaling and pathogenic immune-cell activity without broadly suppressing the constitutive proteasome.
Autoimmune Hepatitis Program
The lead indication is relapsed or refractory autoimmune hepatitis, a chronic inflammatory liver disease commonly managed with long-term corticosteroids and other immunosuppressive drugs. Kezar has sought a development strategy that could demonstrate disease control while reducing steroid exposure.
PORTOLA Clinical Evidence
