Neuroinflammation and Synaptic Dysfunction
CervoMed develops treatments for age-related brain disorders by targeting mechanisms that impair neuronal signaling. Its lead candidate focuses on p38 alpha MAP kinase, a driver of neuroinflammation and synaptic dysfunction.
Neflamapimod
Neflamapimod is an oral, brain-penetrant small molecule that selectively inhibits p38 alpha. It is intended to restore synaptic function and improve neuronal health in disorders affecting cholinergic brain networks.
Dementia With Lewy Bodies
The Phase 2b RewinD-LB study generated supportive results in dementia with Lewy bodies. CervoMed has selected the Phase 3 formulation and dose and aligned with U.S. and other regulators on a global, approximately 300-patient confirmatory trial.
Additional Neurologic Indications
Phase 2a studies evaluate neflamapimod in recovery after ischemic stroke and non-fluent-variant primary progressive aphasia. The molecule has also been selected for the EXPERTS-ALS platform trial.
