Bioengineered Human Tissue Platform
Humacyte develops implantable vascular conduits manufactured from human vascular cells and designed to become repopulated by the patient's own cells. The platform is intended to produce universally implantable tissues at commercial scale.
SYMVESS
SYMVESS is an FDA-approved acellular tissue-engineered vessel for urgent arterial repair after extremity vascular trauma. It is Humacyte's first commercial product and validates the broader tissue platform.
Hemodialysis Access
The Phase 3 V012 study compared the vessel with autologous arteriovenous fistulas for hemodialysis access in women. Positive results form the basis for a planned supplemental BLA.
Coronary Program
Humacyte's coronary tissue-engineered vessel is being developed as an off-the-shelf conduit for coronary artery bypass grafting. The FDA has cleared the IND for a first-in-human Phase 2a study.
Broader Vascular Applications
Additional development areas include peripheral artery disease, pediatric heart surgery, type 1 diabetes, and other cell and tissue applications.
